I’ve always been fascinated by how people grow through change. Long before I ever called myself a coach, I helped others write their way through college essays, job applications, and tough transitions. My path here wasn’t a straight line, but it was always grounded in helping people find their voice and their next step.
As the founder of Webfooted Consulting, I bring more than 20 years of senior leadership experience in Fortune 50+ companies, including Freddie Mac, VeriSign, and CGI Federal. My background is rooted in corporate communications, employee programs, and executive collaboration, and I’ve worked closely with technical experts and C-suite leaders to shape large-scale technology transformation.
But the part I loved most? The people.
Over the years, I’ve coached college hires and CIOs alike. I’ve guided teams through change and mentored professionals navigating uncertainty. That’s what led me here: to a coaching practice built on empathy, strategy, and clarity.

The day
everything changed…
Like many of my clients, my story includes twists I didn’t expect.
My first unexpected RIF (Reduction in Force for those lucky enough to have never experienced one) came during my third trimester, when I was pregnant with my second son. My second RIF took place the day after I came back from vacation at a beloved company where I had worked for 13 years. The final one came as I was dealing with some major life crises.
Trust me. I know firsthand how deeply personal (and disorienting) those moments can be.
Each experience made me more determined to build something that offered clarity instead of chaos, and strategy instead of scrambling.
And each time, I learned and grew so much, and found new joy.
How I found coaching
(or maybe how it found me)
Coaching was never just a career move; it’s something I’ve practiced in many forms throughout my professional life:
- Guided students in college as a Writer’s Center coach
- Led mentoring, training, and recruiting programs inside Fortune 500s
- Coached IT managers and early career hires in corporate programs
- Served as Monster.com’s Nonprofit Career Coach
- Led American Cancer Society’s “Sharing Our Story” branding training
- Expanded my coaching knowledge and skills through training and coaching programs
- Established a career mapping program for corporate individual contributors and managers
- Featured on NPR and The Washington Post
- Contracted for CCI Consulting, career-coaching others during my own career transition
- Designed a writing coaching program; received a corporate award
- Advised corporate C-suite leaders on communications strategies
In 2012, I founded Webfooted Communications to help friends and colleagues with resumes. Over time, my passion for and knowledge in career coaching grew steadily, In 2025, I pivoted my own career to focus on being a full-time coach… growing Webfooted Consulting beyond a dream.
What about the turtle?
The name pays tribute to a lifelong symbol of resilience and thoughtful movement. From my first online alias (“Slow Turtle” on BBS boards) to my college sorority (Delta Zeta) to grad school at Maryland (Go Terps!), the turtle has quietly walked beside me through every chapter.
Across cultures, turtles represent wisdom, endurance, and strategic navigation. They move with intention. They carry their history and home with them. And when the current changes, they know how to swim through it, not against it.
That’s the mindset we bring to coaching: calm, resilient, and on purpose.
